This is my sixth year teaching at Seabourn. My first two years were spent teaching fifth grade. In 2009 I moved to first grade. Wow! What a change! I had no idea how different the two grades would be! Then last year I taught kindergarten and now back to first grade. Some people have asked if it is hard changing grade levels so often and it can be, but the fun part is nevering feeling like I am stuck in a rut. Things are always new and fresh. My undergraduate degree is from Texas A & M – Commerce in Early Childhood through Fourth Grade Education. In 2010 I completed my Masters in Education from American College of Education in Curriculum and Instruction. I feel so blessed to be in a profession I love. I adore my students and the opportunity to watch them grow in their adacemic careers. Outside of school, I am an avid reader and take pleasure in cooking. I have a younger sister and brother. My sister is a dental hygienist and has a eight year old son. My brother is in the Marine Corp. and is stationed at Camp Pendleton. I am very close to my family and enjoy every opportunity I get to spend time with them. I grew up in Mesquite and attended MISD schools K-12 grades. Go Stallions!!
